Our training provides the three key elements to help you as a professional to offer additional services to your private clients, confidently and professionally. Whatever your level of understanding, we provide essential insight and information to ensure your customers are informed and able to make an educated decision when choosing any or all of the services offered by you as trusted advisor.

The courses are offered on a scheduled basis throughout the year. Please contact us for an up-to-date list of availability, or courses can be provided as a bespoke service either at our premises or yours at an agreed time and cost.

Knowledge 

Without a good understanding of how to use and implement legal services it is very difficult to be able to offer your clients a truly informed service.  We provide full training on a regular basis at our centrally located head office in Burton upon Trent, dealing with the full range of services that we offer.

Sales 

We at CJC realise the difficulties that a great deal of professionals have in effectively putting across the benefits of our services to clients.  We run courses to address these sales needs, such as identifying the client, their needs, the process, how if affects them and the peace of mind it gives to clients when they agree to use the services.

Implementation 

Having covered the knowledge and sales processes it is important to understand how the advice should be implemented.  A good understanding of this is paramount to obtain a high proportion of recommendation business.

Training Options

This is a free service to offer as a half day introduction to specific services that we provide and basic taking of client instructions, allowing you as advisor to understand how they may be helpful to your clients.

The half day courses are held at our Burton upon Trent offices, starting at 10.00hrs and finishing at 13.00hrs or 14.00hrs and finishing at 17.00hrs.

Light refreshments are included, i.e. tea, coffee and biscuits.

This is a full day course, starting at 10.00hrs, includes lunch, light refreshments and ending at 16.00hrs.

This course specialises in

  • Instruction taking
  • Simple wills and will based trusts, (discretionary, property protective trusts, vulnerable persons’ trusts and flexible lifetime interest trusts) and why they could be of benefit your clients.
  • Land Registry searches
  • Voluntary 1st registrations
  • Severance of joint tenancies.

Cost £55.00.

N.B. This course can be combined with Option 1 done over a consecutive 2 day period, cost £90.00.

This course specialises in

  • Instruction taking
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney for personal Property & Financial Affairs
  • Health & Welfare issues
  • Property & Financial Affairs for Business/Commercial use and why they should be recommended.
  • Also covered are General Powers of Attorney and Advance Directives.

Cost £55.00.

N.B. This course can be combined with Option 1 done over a consecutive 2 day period, cost £90.00.

This course specialises in

  • Why and when to use Lifetime Trusts for property/asset protection
  • Pilot Trusts for Inheritance Tax Planning.
  • How to avoid the pitfalls, (i.e. Land Registry, care fees and trust management), in selling these products. Also, an insight into how trusts can be challenged.
